A few days ago, the shocking incident of a lady doctor, who was brutally raped and killed in Hyderabad, left everyone in a state of shock.
However, following the incident many celebs such as Chiranjeevi, Vijay Deverakonda and Sukumar condemned the act and asked the police officials to punish those behind the crime.
But, Samantha Akkineni refrained from commenting on the issue. Now, Samantha revealed why he kept silent about this issue.
Samantha tweet reads, “I didn’t say anything about the incident when it happened because every message I received accusing me of not paying my condolences to the victims was a reminder of how little I have done to help the women in my society and one tweet wasn’t going to free me of that guilt.”
Her post went viral in no time with shocked fans assuring her she was doing her bit to make the world a better place.
On the work front, Samantha is busy shooting for her debut web series The Family Man.
And she is awaiting for the release of Jaanu, which is a Tamil blockbuster remake of 96 remake. Jaanu will hit the screens on February 7th on the eve of Valentine’s day.
