A few days back, Telugu Bulletin updated the news that Suresh Babu had given a serious warning to the Venky Mama team for spending over the budget of Rs 50 Crores (Which is very high), when he was out of the city, touring on a pilgrimage for a few days.
Now, it is heard that Suresh Babu, who is bankrolling Asuran remake is taking utmost care not to repeat Venky Mama’s mistake.
A source close to the team says that Suresh Babu has asked the director Srikanth Addala to complete the movie on a strict budget of Rs 15 Crore. It looks like Venky Mama’s effect is high on Srikanth Addala now.
On the other hand, it is already confirmed that Victory Venkatesh is stepping into the shoes of Dhanush for the Telugu remake of Asuran. Dusky beauty Shriya Saran is likely to reprise Manju Warrier’s role.
Asuran is an action drama, which has Dhanush in double roles (father and son). The film is all about the theme of caste-based discrimination and anti-Dalit atrocities that are common in our society. Asuran is the screen adaptation of Poomani’s Tamil novel Vekkai.
It may be recalled here that Asuran turned out to be a huge hit and caught the attention of many for its making as well as the actor’s arresting performance and the film’s authentic storyline.
