Senior Actress Revathi is all set to campaign for TDP in Andhra Pradesh for the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the state.
TDP managed to convince Jr NTR in 2009 and Pawan Kalyan in 2014 for the election campaigning. But none of the stars are now willing to campaign for the party. Nandamuri Balakrisha’s campaign is anyway turning out as a disaster due to his tongue slips and aggressive reactions. Worried over this, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu himself is campaigning his best in most of the constituencies.
Now, the TDP cadres have convinced senior actress Revathi to campaign for the party. She will be campaigning in Eluru constituency in the early hours of Thursday and also in Thadepalli Gudem in the evening. Later, Revathi will take rest for the day in Palakollu and start campaigning for Palakollu constituency on Friday at 9 am and will later shift to Narasapuram constituency at 4 pm. State Handicrafts Development Chairman Pali Prasad has informed about it to the media and appealed to the TDP activists and leaders to participate in the campaigning in the large numbers.
Revathi’s impact to be zero?
Revathi was a forgotten actress and she don’t even possess a star image like Jayasudha or Sumalatha who are active in their respective political parties. So it would be tough for her to pool the public in large. Adding to it, YSRCP has heroes like Mohan Babu, Rajashekar to campaign for the party who has the capability to draw heavy crowds when compared to Revathi.
In the constituencies like Narsapuram, Nagababu’s campaigning is at its full swing and he is going strictly against TDP and obviously in support of Janasena. In the situations like these, Revathi’s campaign would merely be considered as a one or two days entertainment, but nothing else, the experts say.
