Hurt by the decision of Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, who picked Devendra Fadnavis back to the throne of Chief Minister, Shiv Sena and Congress appealed to the Supreme Court.
Considering it, the apex court ordered the Central government to produce all the related proofs submitted to Governor by 10.30 am tomorrow. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, who is representing Shiv Sena and Congress, asked the court to direct the governor to have a floor test in the Maharashtra assembly today.
He said, “the act of governor smacks of bias, malafide, violation of all norms of the apex court. Governor advises and President’s Rule is revoked, no cabinet meeting was held. The swearing-in that took place at 8 am on Saturday, on what basis did the Governor decide is shrouded in mystery.”

He also argued that it is not subjected to judicial scrutiny and it cannot direct a governor to hold floor test within a day.
It is known that Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, have been appointed as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra respectively on last Saturday.
