Right after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced to introduce English medium in government schools, TDP, BJP and Janasena parties have severely objected the decision.
While BJP said that Jagan is trying to spread Christianity across the state and is keen to introduce English medium, TDP opposed the decision in its own style. But over the time, both the parties stepped back from commenting on the issue, as they considered that it is creating a backlash across the state.
YSRCP leaders succeeded in convincing the public, that the opposition parties are intentionally trying to malign the ruling party by manipulating the public. They asked to question the opposition parties about their children’s educational background.

Adding to it, the poor people who cannot afford English medium will prefer Telugu medium itself. But when the state government itself has come forward to introduce English, then naturally the opposition parties who oppose Jagan’s decision would become negative in the opinion of that particular section of public.
Recognizing it much earlier, TDP and BJP stepped back from commenting on the issue. Meanwhile, Janasena has not yet stopped from going against the state government and is still stressing for Telugu medium, arguing that the people who prefer it will be able to avail it too.
