The star player is consistently scoring 50s in the ongoing IPL but they are coming at a rate that the team is having to struggle.
Even last night, Kohli scored 51 off 43 balls while his teammates were scoring at 200+ and even 250+ strike rates. Kohli’s disaster show with the bat is the reason why RCB was restricted to whatever score it made yesterday.
If this trend continues in the world cup, then India could be facing a bad consequence due to Kohli’s sluggish gameplay. Either he must vastly amp up his strike rate or team India must look at other alternatives.
