The election battle has intensified in Andhra Pradesh with the leading parties in the state actively preparing for the same. In this context, the latest promise from Chandrababu Naidu has created an interesting situation.
Naidu has promised to hike the salaries of the volunteers in Andhra Pradesh to 10,000 once he becomes the chief minister of the state.
Naidu vowed to increase the existing salary of 5K that is being given by the YSR Congress government and make it 10,000 per month immediately after the Telugu Desam comes to power along with JSP and BJP.
The volunteer system and their influence on the polling trends is likely to be huge and Naidu has catered to them before the election by promising a huge hike in the salary. It has to be seen if this can influence the volunteers to pick the alliance over YCP.
