Vijay Antony, the multi-talented actor-music director-film director, has left fans eagerly awaiting his upcoming release, Bichagadu 2 (Pichaikkaran 2 in Tamil), scheduled to hit screens on May 19, 2023, in both Tamil and Telugu languages.
The trailer has already garnered a decent response, increasing the anticipation among the audience. In addition to helming the film, Vijay Antony has also showcased his musical prowess by composing the music for this project. His wife, Fathima Vijay, has taken charge of production and is managing the project under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner.
From a business perspective, Bichagadu 2 aims to achieve a total collection of 6 crores in the Telugu states, with a break-even target of 6.25 crores in shares. It is worth noting that the previous installment, Bichagadu (2016), secured Telugu states’ rights for approximately 2.50 crores.
However, the dubbed version of the film amassed a staggering 26.5 crores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while the Tamil edition generated 16 crores in Tamil Nadu. Overall, the film grossed an impressive 42.5 crores worldwide.
