The other day, Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep openly announced that he will be supporting chief minister Basavaraj Bommai-led BJP in poll-bound Karnataka. Although the Eega actor didn’t join the saffron party, he backed the BJP, given his bonding with CM Bommai.
Hours after Sudeep declared his support to the BJP, ace actor Prakash Raj said he was shocked and hurt by the announcement. “I am shocked and hurt by Kichcha Sudeep’s statement,” Raj said.
It is a known fact that Prakash Raj has been a vocal critic of the BJP for a long time now. When Sudeep was questioned about his reaction to Raj’s comment, he said, “He might say what he wants to say but I respect him as an actor. I’m looking forward to his films.”
