Ram Charan is currently in the USA, promoting RRR ahead of this year’s Oscars ceremony, which is set to take place on the 12th of March. The very famous and superhit song from the movie, Naatu Naatu has been nominated at the Oscars in the Best Original Song category. The song won the Golden Globe award in the same category, and thus the expectations on Naatu Naatu winning the Oscar is also quite high.
Speaking in a recent interview, Ram Charan said that the surreal response that RRR has been getting everywhere makes him feel like an outsider himself. Talking about the shooting process of the film, Ram Charan said that they had shot for 17 days continuously, for the song, and that they had done many retakes to get the perfect output. Charan even revealed that he had lost 4 kilos in the process.
Talking about Rajamouli, the actor said that the director wants nothing less than perfection, and any actor can blindly follow the director, owing to his clarity of thought. Charan also said that he really likes Hollywood actors Cate Blanchett and Tom Cruise. He said he admires JJ Abrams and Quentin Tarantino films.
