The pre-release event of Captain, featuring Tamil actor Arya in the lead role, took place in Hyderabad today. The movie is all set to be released on September 8th, and the team expressed confidence in the movie doing well in theatres, during the pre-release event. Producer Sudhakar Reddy is releasing the film in Telugu, which is directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan, and features Aishwarya Lekshmi as the leading lady of the film. Simran and Harish Uthaman will be seen in key roles in the film.
Arya has been a familiar face in Telugu cinema for the past several years, having made his Tollywood debut as the lead antagonist in Allu Arjun’s film Varudu, in which his performance was critically acclaimed.
Ever since then, the actor’s Tamil films have been released in Telugu and have been extensively watched. He was seen in his second straight Telugu film in Size Zero, alongside Anushka Shetty.
At the pre-release event, Arya interacted with his Telugu fans, who asked him several questions regarding his career and his future plans, and his next straight Telugu film. The actor said that he’s looking forward to his next Telugu project as well, which he will sign as soon as he gets a good script. He also said that the Tamil and Telugu industries are going through a great phase currently, wherein actors and directors from the industries are working with each other.
He thanked everyone who came to the event and complimented and expressed their love for the actor. He said that he hopes everyone will like Captain, much like they loved his previous films.
