The hijab issue in Karnataka had created a lot of controversy across the country and it even caught the attention of other Muslim nations. However, the judgment of the Karnataka high court didn’t come in favor of the people who are supporting the usage of hijab in educational institutions.
After the judgment was passed, the judges who pronounced the verdict received death threats.
Following this, the Karnataka government on Sunday decided to give ‘Y’ category security to three judges, including the chief justice of the state.
Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered in Bangalore on the same. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai asked the state DGP to take the issue seriously and look into the investigation, coordinating with the Tamil Nadu government. Several citizens lodged complaints with the police against the comments on judiciary.
