Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, who tasted success as a producer with eclectic genres, is now coming up with another interesting attempt to treat the audience on the big screens. The next major release in the Sithara Entertainments banner is DJ Tillu, starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Neha Shetty, which will have a theatrical release on February 12.
The youthful entertainer, directed by Vimal Krishna, has gained a decent buzz among moviegoers due to its wide range of promotions.
During a recent media interaction, the producer revealed some interesting
details about DJ Tillu. Naga Vamsi revealed that his initial plan wasn’t to make a youth-centric movie. When they tried to impress the audience with a light-hearted romance like Rang De, they didn’t have enough response from the people. It was then the producer realised it was a safer bet to make mass movies or youth-centric flicks to draw crowds.
Describing the narrative of the film, the producer said DJ Tillu movie revolves around a modern-day woman and represents the sensibilities of this generation without being judgemental. “This isn’t an adult comedy, but the content is slightly on the bolder side though. Intimate scenes are only a reflection of reality and not meant to sensationalise anything,” he revealed.
Speaking about the business prospects of DJ Tillu, he said the pre-release response has been terrific and several shows are a house full in Telugu states already.
