We know that Adivi Sesh’s much-awaited Major was slated to hit the screens on February 11. But, the film got postponed due to the rise in Coronavirus infections and the confusion over the functioning of theatres.
The makers of Major today announced that the biopic will be released on 27th May 2022 Worldwide. The young actor took to his social media handles to share the same. The caption of the poster read, “THIS. SUMMER. WILL. BE. MASSIVE. #MajorTheFilm WORLDWIDE on 27 May, 2022. #MAJOR ka promise hai Yeh.”
Major is based on the life of late decorated Indian soldier Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who breathed his last fighting terrorists during the 2008 Mumbai serial attacks.
Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, Major stars Saiee M Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi, and Murali Sharma in key roles. The film is jointly produced by Sony Pictures Films India, GMB Entertainment, and A+S Movies. It will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam.
