The existing eight teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have announced their list of retentions on Tuesday and a total of 27 players were retained by the eight franchises.
As per official reports, the franchises have spent Rs 269 crore to retain these 27 players, which includes 19 Indians and eight foreigners.
Here is the list of retained players:
- Chennai Super Kings: Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Moeen Ali, Ruturaj Gaikwad
- Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard
- Delhi Capitals: Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Prithvi Shaw, Anrich Nortje
- Kolkata Knight Riders: Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy, Venkatesh Iyer, Sunil Narine
- Punjab Kings: Mayank Agarwal, Arshdeep Singh
- Rajasthan Royals: Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal
- Royal Challengers Bangalore: Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Mohammed Siraj
- Sunrisers Hyderabad: Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad, Umran Malik
However, star players like David Warner, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Rashid Khan, Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya, R Ashwin, Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Yuzvendra Chahal, Deepak Chahar among others were left for the mega auction which will happen next month.
