In a huge shock to the Malayalam film industry, veteran actor Nedumudi Venu breathed his last today in a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. He was 73.
As per reports, Venu passed away due to post-Covid complications and stomach ailment. He was rushed to the hospital on Sunday after experiencing uneasiness.
Malayalam stars such as Dulquer Salmaan, director Ravi K. Chandran, Parvathy and several other celebrities took to social media to pay last respects to the legendary actor.
Nedumudi Venu was honoured with three National Film Awards and six Kerala State Film Awards for his works. He had acted in over 500 films, including a few Tamil films, in a career spanning four decades. He was also featured in a 2017 English movie titled ‘Chaurahen’.
