The TRS party had earlier announced its student wing TRSV president Gellu Srinivas Yadav as its candidate for the Huzurabad bypolls, who also happens to be a local of Huzurabad, to win the people’s favour, in the wake of Etela Rajender supposedly contesting on behalf of the BJP, in Huzurabad. THe Huzurabad consistency came up for by-polls, following the incident that took place between Etela Rajender and the TRS, which resulted in him joining the BJP in the end.
Given that Etela has been the representative of Huzurabad for several years now, and that the people of the consistency know him well, and resonate well with him, the TRS is trying to do everything in its power to make sure that the party wins the by-polls. While the Huzurabad by-elections are considered to be a fight between the TRS and BJP, the Congress party too, is trying its best to get into the game.
Following the TRS’s route, the Congress high command announced Balmoor Venkat as its candidate for the Huzurabad bypoll. Venkat is currently working as the President of the Congress student wing NSUI (National Students Union of India) in Telangana. This is Revanth Reddy’s first election after becoming the TPCC Chief, and he is said to be trying his very best to get the Congress party a decent amount of votes, even if that means that the party doesn’t win.
