Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’ is one of the much-awaited films from Tollywood. It was already announced that the period drama will hit the screens on January 14, 2022, on the occasion of Sankranthi. However, there have been rumours that Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ is aiming for January 12, 2022 release.
With the competition for Sankranthi is getting tougher with big releases, it is heard that Radhe Shyam is looking for another date to avoid the clash. Amid these speculations, the movie team reiterates the same date. With this, the makers send a strong message that the Prabhas starrer is ready to fight with Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ if the latter enters the Sankranthi race.
“We have stuck to the prior set date. The film was slated to release on 14th January 2022, which is a big weekend down south, Pongal celebrations will be underway, making it a very auspicious day for this film to release,” the makers said in a statement.
Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the multi-lingual film is bankrolled by UV Creations. It is presented by Dr UV Krishnam Raju under Gopikrishna Movies banner.
