Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s daughter and former MP Kavitha is all set to play a crucial role in civic body polls.
After a humiliating defeat in the recent Lok Sabha polls, Kavitha was away from the party activities and was not seen much even in public. Even KCR was not reluctant to bring her daughter forward for any other post in the party, due to his pre-commitment of such posts to other leaders.
But finally, he now suggested Kavitha to actively participate in the party activities again in view of the up-coming municipal polls. Regarding the same, she accompanied his father during his recent visit to Kanchipuram Athi Varadaraja Temple.
Kavitha once had an immense popularity in Nizamabad constituency, where she won with a huge majority in the earlier elections. But in the recent elections, she lost in the hands of BJP candidate Aravind, who is also a son of TRS leader D Srinivas.
As Turmeric farmers were unhappy over Kavitha’s failure in bringing the minimum support price for the Turmeric crop and also due to the non establishment of the Turmeric board, the farmers went against her and voted BJP candidate.
But now, even the Lotus Party candidate is finding it tough to convince the Centre about the requests of Nizamabad farmers. So, even he is facing the heat from the farmers. So there is an every chance for them to come back to Kavitha, if she manages to convince them in a strategic manner, taking the support of her father.
