Adityanath Das, the current Chief Secretary for the state of Andhra Pradesh, is going to retire shortly from his post, on September 30th. He has already been put on a three-month extension by the CM, who is said to have decided to not go for another extension for the CS.
It is being said that Jagan has come to the conclusion of taking in Das as one of his principal advisors, making it to a total of 31 advisors. Adityanath Das is said to be the primary head for the irrigation department, having worked in the irrigation department for united Andhra Pradesh, and for the current AP government as well.
Given that the Central government has taken over the operation and maintenance of major projects on Krishna and Godavari rivers and the state has to deal with the Centre regularly, and Jagan is said to have thought it to be best for him to take Das on board, given his experience and expertise in the field.
