Dear Megha is a film that has been hyped up in recent times and has been carrying an interesting buzz among the audiences. The film has finally been released today, and here’s how the film seems to be faring.

Story:

Megha (Megha Akash) is a college-going student and falls in love with Arjun (Arjun Somayajulu), who doesn’t reciprocate her feelings, and leaves the college instead. Three years later, the couple reunites and falls in love with each other. However, Megha loses Arjun to a tragic incident, and moves on with her life, albeit difficultly. She, later on, meets Adi (Adith Arun) and falls in love with him, but Arjun’s return causes tension. The rest of the story is about whom Megha chooses in the end.

Performances:

Megha Akash performs well in the role she’s given and does full justice to the lead character. She gives an impressive performance as the person on whom the entire film depends. Adith Arun is brilliant in his role and does exceptionally well in emotional scenes. Arjun Somayajulu is alright. Pavitra Lokesh fits her bill well, and the rest of the cast is good in what they’ve been given.

Technical aspects:

It is very clear that the film has been made with good production values, and the songs have been shot really well. The college episodes look good, while the music is okay. The editing of the film is pretty ordinary, while it feels like the director could have gone ahead with a faster screenplay, throughout the film.

Plus points:

  • Megha Akash
  • Adith Arun
  • Climax

Minus Points:

  • Slow narration
  • Dragged emotional scenes

Verdict:

Dear Megha is not an out-of-the-box concept, but can still be watched as it provides a new perspective through the eyes of a female lead. The film works in parts and doesn’t have a huge rewatch value.
