For quite some time now, there have been reports that the Andhra Pradesh government, run by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has been planning on constructing their CM office at Ramanaidu studios in Visakhapatnam. It is being said that the government came to this decision as they are planning to make Visakhapatnam the executive capital of the state and because Ramanaidu studios is located in the perfect place.
Addressing the media at a recent event, producer Suresh Babu clarified that there’s no truth to the matter of Jagan planning to construct his CMO at Visakhapatnam’s CMO. He said that the land on which the studios is constructed is private property, which belongs to them, and doesn’t belong to the government by even an inch. He said that there’s no pressure on him from Jagan, but when asked if he would give the property away if the government asked for it, he clarified that it’s a personal issue.
On the other hand, Suresh Babu defended his decision of releasing his brother Venkatesh’s upcoming film Narappa directly on OTT, instead of in theatres. He said that everyone should behave according to the circumstances around them, which is exactly what he did, as he doesn’t think that this is the right time to opt for a theatrical release, considering the ongoing pandemic. He also said that people can’t always expect for a film to be released in theatres first, and then on OTT, as OTT and theatres will co-exist here on.
