In a recent interview with IANS, Raashi said that actresses are making their way ahead considering the new films that are coming in this male-dominated industry.
She said that Varun Tej starrer ‘Tholi Prema’ changed things for her because the audience then said that ‘she can act as well. The actress opined that if anyone wants to stay for long in Tollywood, they have to be an excellent actor like Anushka Shetty or Samantha Akkineni. She claimed that these actresses have revolutionised the way people are reading actresses down South.
Earlier you had to just look beautiful and do great in songs. Now you have to be a talented actor and I think we have a bank of great heroines in the South as well, the actress said.
