The Covid-19 pandemic hit the film industry severely across the world and many predicted the business won’t revive anytime sooner. Even filmmakers thought people won’t be interested in coming to theatres when they get opened.
However, surprising everyone, the Telugu audience has dared Covid-19 and stepped into theatres, stunning the filmmakers.
The Telugu film industry was shocked by the record openings given by the Telugu audience with 50% occupancy. With the collections for Sankranti movies, the makers of Telugu films took a sigh of relief and started releasing their films on the big screens.
Over the last three months, 66 direct Telugu movies were released in the first quarter of 2021. Among them, Krack, Uppena and Jathi Ratnalu has become blockbusters with double profits. Here is the list of blockbusters, super hits, hit movies in the first quarter of 2021 for you.

5. Vijay’s ‘Master’ (dubbed film)
Apart from these, the films that greeted the Telugu audience are ‘A1 Express’, ‘Sreekaram’ and ‘Rang De’, which caused only 30% loss to the distributors instead of a complete loss.
Apart from the above mentioned, Alludu Adurs, Bangaru Bullodu, Mr & Miss, FCUK, Chithakkotudu 2, Pogaru, Chakra, Kapatadhari, Check, Akshara, Shadi Mubarak, Power Play, Gaali Sampath, Mosagallu, Sashi, Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, Aranya, Tellavarithe Guruvaram were disasters at the box office.
