The makers of Akhil5, which marks the coming together of Akhil Akkineni and Surender Reddy are planning to commence regular shooting very soon. The unit is busy finalizing the principle cast and crew now.
As said by our sources close to the movie unit, the makers of Akhil5 are presently in talks with Malayali superstar Mohanlal.
The script of Akhil5 accommodates a seasoned and veteran actor and the makers opine Mohanlal would be the right choice for this role. They have already initiated talks with the senior actor.
Mohanlal is currently busy with commitments in Malayalam film industry and he is expected to revert back to the makers of Akhil5 soon.
Mohanlal’s last straight Telugu movie was Janatha Garage and if things fall into place, he might be making his re-entry with Akhil – Surender Reddy project.
The film is touted to be a spy thriller and AK Entertainments have allotted a hefty budget to the project. There are rumors that Rashmika Mandanna is in consideration for female lead role in the film but nothing is consolidated for now.
