Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake, starring Pawan Kalyan and Rana got underway very recently and the unit is shooting for an action sequence in Hyderabad currently.
Meanwhile, Trivikram who is penning the dialogues and screenplay for the much-anticipated remake is said to have made a key suggestion which will set the course of the film.
Apparently, Trivikram suggested Nallamala forest backdrop for this film and the makers obliged to the same.
As for the original, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, the film is set out in lush green Attappaadi, Kerala backdrop. It also has a hint of Naxal movement and its influence on the people residing there. Trivikram wants to replicate a similar visual presentation and that is the reason why he suggested Nallamala forests.
Ayyappanum Koshiyum is all about the rivalry between a retired army officer and an upright cop and it is set our in a rural countryside backdrop. The remake will be on similar lines as well.
Sagar Chandra is directing the film and Sithara Entertainments are bankrolling it.
