If it wasn’t for Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, Vaishnav Tej‘s debut film, Uppena would have hit the screens last summer.
The makers patiently waited for theatres to reopen despite receiving a couple of offers from OTT platforms for the direct to digital rights of the film. Their year-long wait comes to an end very soon as they have announced the release date.
As per the latest announcement from Mythri Movie Makers, Uppena will be out in theatres on 12th February. A small video to publicize the same was unveiled by the unit.
Billed to be an intense love drama, Uppena will be hitting the big screens just ahead of the Valentine’s day which is on 14th February.
Uppena will have a free run at the box office for one week post which Nithiin’s Check will hit the screens on February 19th.
Uppena is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music. Vaishnav Tej, Krithi Shetty and Vijay Sethupathi play pivotal roles in the film.
