Just a few months ago, a poker den in the native palace of Minister Gummanuru Jayaram was busted by the police. What was interesting about this den is the fact that it didn’t have players from just AP, but also from several other states. This den did huge business on a single day, with people from all over the country contributing to heavy cash flow.
TDP and other opposition members were of the opinion that the Police were very well aware of the den way before, but busted it only when they did because something must have gone wrong between the Police and the Minister.
Now, yet another set of poker dens have been busted by the Police in Rain Tree Park. Upon investigation, it came to light that this poker den was organised by none other than YSRCP member and Thadikonda MLA Sridevi. However, Sridevi declined her involvement with these clubs, and even suspended her close associates from the party, who were closely monitoring these poker dens. This suspension threw Sridevi into real trouble, as these close associates then released audio files in which Sridevi can be heard talking about organising poker dens, and getting people to play in them.
With this news now becoming a focus point in the political circles of Andhra Pradesh, opposition members are saying that there could be many other poker dens belonging to several YSRCP members without fail, considering that a woman was running one herself.
Several other reports also suggest that various poker dens even make sure that specific brands of alcohol are available in them, to make the experience more enjoyable.
