The famous 80s Stars Reunion once again brought together the biggest names of South Indian cinema, along with a few Bollywood icons. The special gathering took place in Chennai on October 4, 2025, marking an emotional comeback after three long years.

80s Stars Reunion Brings Back Golden Memories In Chennai

This much-loved reunion, a tradition that began over a decade ago, celebrates friendship and bonding among the stars who ruled the screens in the 1980s. The event was supposed to happen last year but was postponed due to the devastating Chennai floods.

This year, the reunion was held in a simple and heartfelt way. At the request of the actors, Rajkumar Sethupathy and Sripriya hosted the event at their residence instead of a luxury hotel. The evening was beautifully organized by Lissy Lakshmi, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Khushbu Sundar, and Suhasini Maniratnam.

A total of 31 popular stars from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi film industries attended. Among them were Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Jackie Shroff, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Ramya Krishnan, Radha, Revathy, Suhasini, and Sumalatha. The gathering was filled with laughter, memories, and emotional moments as the stars shared stories from their early film days.

Speaking about the event, Suhasini Maniratnam said, “It wasn’t a night of celebration this time. It was a quiet and emotional meeting of friends who have known each other for decades.” Lissy Lakshmi added, “We came together to express love, unity, and gratitude for the friendship that has lasted beyond fame and time.”

The reunion highlighted the deep connection these stars share, even after decades in the industry. It stood as a reminder that true friendships built during the golden era of cinema never fade.

As the evening ended, the stars returned home with smiles and hearts full of memories — once again proving that the 80s Stars Reunion is not just an event, but a celebration of life, friendship, and the timeless bond of cinema.
