On the other hand, vaccinations are being wasted on a large scale in many states. It is reported that when 10 crore doses of vaccines are given to the people by the 11th of this month, more than 44 lakh doses have been wasted.
When a person asked the Union govt about the vaccine wastage in India under the Right to Information Act, the Union govt announced this.
Tamil Nadu tops in vaccine wastage. In Tamilnadu, 12.10 percent of the doses were wasted. Haryana stands second with 9.74 percent. Next to Haryana is Punjab with 8.12 percent and Manipur with 7.8 percent and Telangana stands in fifth place with 7.55 percent.
