South Indian Super Star Rajinikanth has teamed up with director Murugadoss for the film Darbar which is an out and out commercial entertainer. Rajini is playing the role of Mumbai commissioner Aditya Arunachalam in the movie. It has been more than 25 years that Rajinikanth has donned Khaki in his roles.
Darbar has been carrying positive buzz and is releasing with lots of anticipation. Darbar is touted to be an investigative thriller which will give edge of the seat experience. Vintage Rajini mannerisms are added bonus for the fans.
Darbar which is releasing 2 days ahead of Sankranthi Telugu biggies is going to have full advantage at the box office for these days. On January 9th, almost every theater in the Telugu states is going to screen Darbar. In both the Telugu states Darbar is going to release in around 700-800 theaters. In India, the screen count is around 5000 and coming to worldwide it is over 7000.
In Hyderabad alone, Darbar is going to release in 120 theaters. When we count overall Nizam, the count mounts to 200. In Andhra region, Darbar is going to release in around 500 theaters. Coming back to Hyderabad, multiplexes are going to screen Darbar in huge number of screens.
Prasads multiplex is going to screen around 25 shows on Day 1 which is a massive number. Other multiplexes like PVR, Inox are going with 16-18 shows per day. Even Tamil version is going to have 4-5 shows on Day 1.
We can expect massive number of opening on Day 1 for Nizam.
