Amar Sathvik Thogiti, a 13-year-old YouTuber is making it big on YouTube, by supporting UPSC aspirants prepare for the exam.
Amar was born in Telangana’s Mancherial and is currently studying 9th class. He started a YouTube channel called “Learn with Amar” in 2016. He now has over 2,60000 subscribers for his channel.
Amar claims to learn few hacks from his father, who is a government school teacher and a resource person for teachers training in his district.
Speaking to the media, the little one said that he enjoyed playing with Atlas at the age of five. It was then his father found out his interest and started teaching geography. “My mother recorded a video of mine, when I enacted teaching a lesson in geography. When the video has got good response, we continued doing it,” Amar said.
He initially taught geography lessons online, where he teaches tricks to remember names and locations of countries, rivers, etc. Amar is also planning to teach economics and political science in the coming days.
Aiming at IAS, Amar said that he will make sure the better execution of rules, after he qualifies exam.
Revealing that he would make videos based on the request of the viewers, Amar said that he would accept the requests about the subjects from the viewers and take about two weeks of time to research, practice and shoot the video.
Amar’s younger brother Angh Vignesh, who is 10 years old, has also joined his brother and has also produced a few videos on the same channel.
Speaking about his sons, Goverdhan Achary Thogiti says that they are talented. “I teach them same tricks I teach other teachers. Both grasp things quickly. I will send my child to study in the city after class 10 but till that time they are here, I wish to teach them to pursue knowledge and the best of themselves,” he said.
Apart from teaching, Amar is also fascinated about cosmology and even watches videos on the same in his leisure. He enjoys reading books, among which ‘The brief history of time’ and ‘The Alchemist’ are his favorites.
